ALYSSA BUCKLEY first began her adorably hilarious improv career in 2005 as a part of Clemson University's improv group Mock Turtle Soup. In 2007, she teamed up with fellow MTS member Bryan Buckley (now her husband...oh lala) to form the two man hilarity that is Red Letters. The two traveled the country to perform in New York City, Greenville, Chapel Hill, Orlando, Atlanta, Gainesville and Nashville.
Alyssa got her improv chops studying under the best directors in the biz: TJ Jagodowski, Zach Ward, Anthony LeBlanc, Anthony King, Charlie Todd, Mark Sutton, Joe Bill and John Kaprinos. After graduation, she was invited to teach classes for the DSI Comedy Theater in Carrboro, North Carolina (home of the NC Comedy Arts Festival). There she performed in several groups including Honkey Kong, DSI High, the 708, ComedySportz, Improv Slam, the Average Ducks and Sister City. She has also taught workshops for the Black Box Improv Festival, Mock Turtle Soup and high school groups in central Florida and upstate South Carolina.
Alyssa moved to Philadelphia with Bryan in the summer of 2009 and met the lovely people of the N Crowd at the Philly Improv Festival. She loves all kinds of candy and movies where no one blows up. When she's not performing comedy or working her day job, she's cooking yummy things, hanging out with Bryan and kicking ass.
