B.J.'s involvement in theater began in earnest
while in college at Edinboro University. He spent 5 years in the
campus theater group, working his way up from lowly parking curb mover to
President of the organization. Also served as Vice President
of the honor’s theater fraternity on campus. He had memorable performances in the following plays: Tartuffe, Love’s Fire, The Bachaae,
Sorority Girls Slumber Party Massacre: The Musical, Sylvia, The Night of
January 16th, Shakespeare’s Women, Rollercoaster 2: The Double Dipper, and Best Friends.
From Fall 2002 to Spring 2004 B.J. directed and hosted Edinboro’s famed improv troupe, Deviant Behavior and directed 14 performers over the 2 years. Their shows garnered 50 to 100 people per show and made the Erie Time’s News in their entertainment section. He originally got involved with the group at it’s
inception in 1999 under the direction of Rob Connick.
When he isn't making people laugh or cackling
loudly in the back of the audience, he teaches little kids math, spelling, social studies, and science.
He finds those the toughest audiences to perform in front of.
