“I love thinking about the old days when we were just starting this crazy company. Our first theater was in a karate dojo that had no seats or stage. We rented the seats for a while and one sunny day, BJ and I went to home depot and bought some plywood and 2 by’s and built our first stage from scratch. It was four 4 by 8 platforms that we’d clamp together. Inevitably we’d be bouncing around during the show and you’d just hear a tremendous CLOMP as the clamps would slowly work their way off and crash to the floor mid-scene. We’d always try to work the CLOMPS into the scene as though it was all part of the act.”
