About the Dude Hates Cancer
The Dude Hates Cancer is an annual charity campaign of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). The campaign takes its name from the lead character of the bowling-centric film, The Big Lebowski. In addition to a large bowling tournament held every fall, “The Dude” features participant-driven events all year long.
Since starting in Philadelphia 11 years ago, the Dude’s all-volunteer organizing committee and participants have raised over $650,000 for LLS, the world’s largest non-profit organization dedicated to blood cancer research.
